Colette

Another Paris post I hear you cry! Yes, but this is (probably) the last one! I (dont) promise! I just wanted to tell you about this awesome shop called Colette. It's a concept store on the main designer shopping street in Paris, but what I love about it is the way it brings high end, intimidating designer clothes, to a more familiar retail environment. This makes it feel approachable and it's a comfortable shop to be in.

The thing that bugs me most about designer orientated shops, (for example Gallerie Lafayette) is the money-grabbingness of it all. Just because someone sewed a Gucci label into the t shirt makes it £1000. No thanks! But Colette did none of that. Instead, they source and curate their clothes so that it's all the most creative, inspiring and exciting clothes, that really do feel worth the heftier price tag. The clothing section upstairs felt more like an exhibit, with exciting garments on mannequins in rows, there would be something for everyone.
Thanks!
